Thanks to the wonderful folks over at Compassion Over Killing, who joind forces with Mercy For Animals and the Animal Protection & Rescue League, Boca has decided to eliminate eggs from all their products by the end of the year!This is fabulous news for chickens! This will not make all their products vegan, but it is a huge step.
A representative from Boca emailed COK with the following excerpt:
“…I am pleased to let you know the BOCA brand will be eliminating eggs in all of its products by the end of this year. We anticipate all BOCA products will be egg free in 2010.”
This campain was only a few weeks long! That must be a record. It goes to show you that consumer wants can make a difference. Boca responded because customers contacted them along with COK, Mercy for Animals and Animal Protection & Rescue League.
